Hi Vern: I have an idea to affiliate some companies here in Canada. I am a newbie; no product, no website, no contacts, etc. How can I approach some of these companies to find if I can affiliate with them? I am on a VERY low budget to create a website, but I think I could do it myself if I had an idea of what to put on it. In a nutshell, where do I start so I can earn even a little money? I am currently on a on-line marketing course which is taking a lot of time to complete due to my day job, my family, etc. I would love a fast start if there is such a thing!

Hi Pat,
There’s 3 questions in your statement so I’m going
to handle each one of them separately, ok?
1. If you have some idea on which companies are suitable
to your target market then what you shoud do is to study
on JV or joint venture marketing.
I’ve not particularly done this yet so I can give very little
advice on this. Normally, if you told them about how you
can market their product via a fax mail or phone voice
message, the head of the company is who you want to
contact.
2. It is my belief that anyone who has a LOW budget can
earn money online. You have to start somewhere.
I’d recommend UMC that has eveything

you in the right direction.
3. Here is where you have to be cautious Pat,
mainly because there is no such thing as
a “get rich quick program”.
I do know how to do it well but most beginners
get burned from this mentality.
However, yes there are programs like these
but of course, if you are spending time on an
online marketing course - then you should
evaluate if its benefiting you in your current
situation.
